An Unforgettable Person
The most unforgettable person among many others for me, participating at the Syracuse University Institute for Supported Typing, was Tracy Thresher. From the moment I arrived, he greeted all of us in the lobby of the hotel with a real and comforting presence. Doing that made it okay to be autistic among a population of otherwise identifiable normals. We autistically challenged are just unique – islands in our experience of everyday challenges, unable to do so many things without physical assistance. We are always unfree of others.
When Tracy was there for me without support in that hotel lobby, autistically I saw a future that did not exist before. Since that time, many things have happened to seriously expand that experience and insight. For me, Tracy will be unforgettable as a door opener to a new world of possibilities.

You really surpassed visitors’ desires. Thank you for supplying such good, trustworthy, explanatory not to mention fun thoughts on this topic to Janet.
