I asked these questions of a priest friend after his talk on atheism:

1. Thanksgiving is something based in our relationship with God.  Where does an atheist look for thankfulness?
2. Where was any real place for wonder for an atheist, or for mystery?
3. And where do God-given rights come from for atheists?  If from government, what protects them from being eliminated by someone else’s proclamation such as an executive order and judge’s approval?

Wanting to always awesomely say sacrifice and a relationship with God is all we can do to stay in awesome grace and stay free.
